Maragogype is a rare variety and unique style of coffee in the world. It is normally called Elephant Bean due to it’s 2-3times size of usual beans.
It is a mutation of Typica, first discovered in Brazil in 1780 and mainly cultivated thereafter in Brazil along with some Central American countries. Plantations at altitudes above 1200m enhance the natural flavor of this bean.
When freshly roasted relatively lightly, Maragogype offers an incredibly unique style of coffee with gentle acidity, spicy and nutty tones. It is possibly the lightest and cleanest flavored coffee among all the varieties. As a rarity in the world of coffee, Maragogype is highly appreciated by both amateurs and established consumers.
